Professor Xiaolan Fu's Research Group at the School of Psychology Proposes AU-DFER, Dynamic Facial Expression Recognition Enhanced by Action Units

The paper "Action Unit Enhance Dynamic Facial Expression Recognition," authored by a team led by Professor Xiaolan Fu (PI) and Dr. Feng Liu (Co-PI) from the Facial Expression Recognition and Affective Computing Research Group at the School of Psychology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, was accepted to the 33rd ACM International Conference on Multimedia (ACM MM '25). ACM Multimedia is organized by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and is a leading international conference in multimedia and affective computing. It is classified as a Class A international academic conference by the China Computer Federation (CCF). ACM Multimedia 2025 was held in Dublin, Ireland, from October 27 to 31, 2025.
